Last week’s dEAF Like Me gathering was a wonderful small group that created the deepest conversations. Together, they shared experiences, listened to each other, and talked about identity, belonging, and what it means to move through the world in between spaces. Left feeling truly seen and able to relate to one another in meaningful ways.If you’ve ever felt like you don’t fully fit in one place or another, dEAF Like Me might be a space for you. You are welcome there.
We hope you’ll join us at our next Deaf Like Me event in Whetstone. We would love to see you. Please email [email protected] for any questions.

Flyer with a dark gray background and bold white text that reads: “ARE YOU dEAF LIKE ME?” with the lowercase d highlighted in green.
Below the title is an ear icon with a slash through it next to text that reads:
“You speak well, so people forget you’re deaf.
You don’t use ASL yet or much, so Deaf spaces feel intimidating.
You function, but no one sees the exhaustion.
You fit everywhere yet nowhere.”
The next section invites people to join a gathering at Whetstone Public Library for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. The flyer emphasizes: No pressure to sign ASL. No judgment. No need to pick a side. Just real conversations, connection, resources, and community.
