About this Event
SAVE THE DATE!
Join us on Friday 24th April 10-1pm at the National Robotarium at Heriot-Watt University, where the results from Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) funded research ‘Are nurses are ready for robots?’ will be presented.
This project was conducted by a multidisciplinary team including nursing academics from Edinburgh Napier University and computer scientists from Heriot-Watt University.
What we know
The nursing profession resists the introduction of artificial intelligence into the workplace, despite its potential for ultimately supporting workforce efficiency and the sustainability of our health services.
What we wanted to know
So, by exposing nursing students and academics to assistive robotics within a simulated healthcare environment, we wanted to find out whether the opportunity to meet, interact and become familiar with this form of technology could build confidence and acceptance over time.
What we found…
Please come along and join us and discover what we found, you will be invited to share your views on this important research and speak to us about the potential for future collaborations and opportunities in this space.
We look forward to seeing you! 😊
