In this foundational class, you will learn how to operate an Arduino and learn basic programming skills in C. The class will use the Arduino IDE to experiment with LEDs, servos, and other sensors to get you familiar with the basic operation of an Arduino. Through hands-on activities, you will learn to build, code, and troubleshoot Arduino programs. No prior coding or Arduino experiences necessary. Arduino kits will be provided for in-class practice.
PREREQUISITES:
This is open to anyone 16 and up. No experience necessary.
MATERIALS:
***Please bring your own computer and adapters to connect the Arduino device via USB 3.0. *** We will provide everything else.
INSTRUCTOR:
Jun! (she/her) is a performance artist, video artist, curator, and educator from Singapore living and working in Brooklyn. She graduated from her BA in Computer Science and Studio Art at Carleton College and has taught robotics and electronic art to university students for the past three years.
REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS:
Class size limited to 8 students. Minimum 2 students. We reserve the right to cancel the class if we do not have a minimum amount of students a week before the class date. If we cancel, we will refund you in full and notify you. You may cancel and get a full refund up to seven days before the class. After that, refunds are contingent on us being able to fill your seat. Under no circumstances do we offer refunds to individuals who cancel on the same day - that ruins the party for everyone.
