As a Canon Canada Ambassador based out of Cochrane, Alberta, Jacquie Matechuk embraces the opportunity to spend time with her fellow photographers, helping them to improve and nurture their inspiration while also creating lasting, impactful imagery to campaign for conservation efforts around the world. Jacquie’s broad portfolio features everything from globally acclaimed epic scenery and iconic architecture to all forms of wildlife, travel and professional sports. And her work has more recently been featured in conservation efforts driven by organizations such as the Jane Goodall Foundation, the Canadian Conservation Collective, the Grizzly Bear Foundation, to name a few.
Her personal journey and photographic diversity are fuelled by her commitment to celebrating the world around her. And today, her vision, those moments have resulted in numerous international awards including, Nature Photographer of the Year, inFocus Gold Medalist, World Cup Gold & Bronze Medallist, International Visionary Awards Gold Medallist, Canadian Commercial Photographer of the Year and Master of Photographic Arts
