Our Mission and Impact
Since opening our doors in 2004, Archway Academy has been dedicated to providing a supportive and sober learning environment for high school students in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Our mission is to offer a safe space where students can grow academically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially.
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we reflect on the incredible progress we have made and look forward to continuing our mission. We are grateful to our partners; including Southwest Schools and Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, and our community of supporters who make our work possible. Together, we have built a place where education meets recovery, where students are given a second chance to succeed.

Guest Speaker: Brian Cuban
Brian Cuban is a renowned attorney, author, and speaker known for his work in addiction recovery and mental health advocacy. Having personally battled with substance abuse and eating disorders, Cuban's journey from addiction to recovery has been inspiring and transformative. He shares his experiences and insights to help others struggling with similar issues, promoting mental health awareness and the importance of self-care. Cuban is the author of "The Addicted Lawyer: Tales of the Bar, Booze, Blow, and Redemption," where he candidly discusses his own struggles and the steps he took towards recovery. His compelling story and dedication to advocacy make him a powerful voice in the fight against addiction and a valuable speaker for our upcoming luncheon.
Luncheon Chairs: Cameron and Rudy Cano
Cameron Cano, an Archway Academy alumnus, and his father, Rudy Cano, are the luncheon chairs for our upcoming event. Cameron attended Archway Academy for all four years of high school, where he embraced the supportive and sober learning environment. His journey at Archway not only helped him achieve academic success but also enabled him to build a fulfilling, substance-free life. Rudy Cano, a distinguished attorney with over 30 years of experience in litigation, has been a steadfast supporter of his son's recovery journey. Their testimony will provide a heartfelt and inspiring perspective on the transformative impact of Archway Academy, highlighting the importance of a dedicated recovery and educational support system for adolescents.
