Join us behind the scenes to explore material related to LGBTQ+ history!
About this Event

Step behind the scenes of the Hall-Carpenter Archives for a special opportunity to explore one of Britain’s most important LGBTQ+ collections. Preserving the histories, activism, and cultural records of LGBTQ+ organisations and individuals, the archive traces its roots to the gay rights movements of the 1980s and continues to grow today.
During this session, participants will go behind the scenes to see where the archives are held, meet curators and archivists, and view a curated selection of materials.

These material include ephemera, records and publications from landmark organisations such as the Campaign for Homosexual Equality, the Gay Liberation Front and Press for Change, alongside personal papers of activists, politicians, educators, or campaigners involved in gay, lesbian, and trans rights, HIV/AIDS advocacy, and community organising from the 1950s to the present day.

Places are strictly limited, so please arrive on time to avoid missing out.
