Join us in the Grand Salon for a brief talk and video presentation by Professor Charles McGraw Groh and Professor Rodney Shores. "Folklife and Folk Music" explores the vital importance of family photos, mementos, and songs in preserving community traditions and memory. Then join Professor Groh on a guided tour of our current exhibit “When the Train Comes Along”: Booker T. Washington at the Tampa Bay Casino to discover how these sources contributed to preserving an important chapter of local Black history. Water and light refreshments will be provided.
