About this Event
Architecture of Asana 🧱🌀
Yoga is more than movement — it’s design.
Every posture carries structure, intention, and intelligent pathways through the body. In this workshop, we explore how shapes are built, not just performed.
Architecture of Asana is an experiential deep dive into the mechanics, awareness, and artistry behind the forms we practice. Together we’ll break down how the body organizes itself in space, learning how to create stronger, more sustainable shapes that support mobility, stability, and longevity in practice.
Rather than chasing depth or intensity, this session focuses on understanding the blueprint of the body so that each posture becomes more intelligent, efficient, and embodied.
During this workshop we’ll explore:
• The Art of Form — refining the quality of your shapes so they feel purposeful, stable, and expressive.
• Angles & Awareness — understanding joint positioning, leverage, and how subtle adjustments transform a posture.
• Pillars & Pathways — identifying the structural supports of each pose and the energetic lines that organize the body.
• Structural Intelligence — learning how alignment, muscular engagement, and mobility work together to build integrity.
• Mathematics of Mobility — discovering how angles, load, and range of motion influence strength, freedom, and safety in movement.
Expect a blend of breakdown, exploration, and practice as we examine familiar postures through a new lens. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of how to organize your body within shapes, refine your transitions, and move with greater confidence and awareness on the mat.
This workshop is ideal for students who enjoy learning the “why” behind the practice and want to deepen their relationship with movement through precision, curiosity, and thoughtful progression.
