Join us for a full-day, hands-on architectural photography workshop in Wellington, starting at 10am with coffee, introductions, and an overview of camera settings and key principles, before heading into the city to photograph architecture with intention—thinking about how and why you shoot, not just what you shoot. Andy will guide you through both the practical techniques (composition, light, lines, verticals, details, context, people, dusk shooting, interiors, and more) and the deeper creative side of architectural photography: developing your own way of seeing, storytelling through space, emotion, rhythm, and the relationship between buildings, people, and place. After lunch, we’ll photograph inside Old St Paul’s, applying the same thoughtful approach. The day is followed by an online Zoom session where Andy will set a project and provide image feedback and Photoshop advice—helping you move beyond technical competence toward more meaningful, confident architectural images.
