📣 Lecture by Sir Peter Cook (UK) at Moholy‑Nagy University of Art and Design — May 28, 18:00Join us for a lecture by Sir Peter Cook, founding member of the legendary Archigram group and one of the most influential figures in contemporary architecture, as part of the MOME Architectural Matters lecture series, supported by Global Voices at MOME.
Sir Peter Cook has been a pivotal voice in global architectural culture for over half a century. As a co‑founder of Archigram, his radical, experimental approach reshaped architectural thinking and practice worldwide. In recognition of this work, Archigram received the RIBA Royal Gold Medal in 2002, and in 2007 Cook was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for services to architecture.
His built work includes projects across Europe, Japan, and Australia, most notably the iconic Kunsthaus Graz (with Colin Fournier), alongside university buildings and cultural institutions in cities such as Vienna, Berlin, Frankfurt, Madrid, and Osaka. His drawings are held in major international collections, including MoMA New York, Centre Pompidou, V&A London, and M+ Hong Kong.
This lecture offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from a living legend of architecture, whose ideas continue to challenge conventions and inspire new generations of designers.
