Archetype Alchemy Part I: Voicing the Unconscious through the Major Arcana

Jungian psychology explains that human beings are influenced by powerful forces common to all of us - primitive psychic structures that guide us through life. Carl Jung called these structures archetypes: patterns that influence our lives and the choices we make, consciously or subconsciously.

In this workshop, we will use the tarot as a tool to access the unconscious, making a bridge between the rational Ego and the unconscious Self. Through the Tarot Major Arcana we will listen to unconscious narratives, give voice to our internal hero and work with what is on the verge of transformation.

Through experiential dynamics participants will become aware of what archetype is more prominent in our lives at the present moment and tap into the possibilities of transformation.

Part workshop, part visualisation, part ritual, this activity will allow participants to give voice to latent parts of their Higher Selves.

No previous experience with the Tarot required.

This event is part of the Archetype Alchemy series. These are stand alone events not required to be taken in sequence - but participants are welcome and encouraged to, to deepen their connection.

In Tarot the High Priestess represents dreams, knowledge and intuition. It talks about new experiences and developing a new understanding of the world. It is symbolic of the divine feminine / lunar power.

Marina Lorenzato, an experienced psychotherapist following the Psychosynthesis, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Integrative Psychology models. She has been supporting her therapy and workshop clients in developing self esteem, boundaries, self awareness and assertiveness. Intuition, compassion and empathic listening are the pillars of her work.

Sofia Dawe, a multi-disciplinary artist, cultural producer, placemaker and general creatrix. She has a long career of creating immersive and transformative experiences and events of deeply engaging moments that question the way people experience each other and themselves.

Together they work to provide creative and intuitively informed activities that help participants get in touch with the unlimited power of their unconscious.
