About this Event
This course is designed to teach beginners how to safely shoot a recurve bow. Sessions will run from 6:30pm to 8:30pm (weather permitting) on Friday nights for 3 consecutive weeks. Note that this is an outdoor event.
After successfully completing the course you will have the necessary skills to safely shoot a recurve bow and may be able to join Woodford Archers or another Archery GB affiliated club.
Attendees would need to be able to draw a bow of at least 16 pounds, this will usually be from around 10 -12 years old*.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of each training session.
Please wear closed-toe shoes, tops without draw strings and remove any jewellery which may be caught by the bowstring.
Please note your target may be shared by up to three people but you will be allocated individual bows and arrows.
If you intend to join Woodford Archers (or another club) after the course, please note that you will need to complete all 3 weeks. If you cannot commit to the minimum 3 weeks please contact [email protected] to make alternative arrangements.
