Tisztelettel meghívjuk Önöket az Archaeology of Horse Equipment and Riding Techniques in the Steppe (6-10th Centuries) című angol nyelvű nemzetközi tudományos konferenciára.A konferencia keretében a Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum és a Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem munkatársai a 6–10. századi Kárpát-medencei lószerszámokkal és lovaskultúrával kapcsolatos legújabb régészeti kutatásokat mutatják be, különös tekintettel a lószerszámok funkcionális és technológiai értelmezésére. A rendezvény célja továbbá a régészeti megközelítések és a gyakorlati lovas szakértelem közötti szakmai párbeszéd erősítése. Az előadók között az MNM régész-muzeológusai és a Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem kiemelt kutatói szerepelnek. A programban részt vesz továbbá két, lovasakadémiai háttérrel rendelkező, nemzetközileg is elismert szakember, köztük Bent Branderup, a Dán Lovasakadémia alapítója és vezetője (Academic Art of Riding), akinek szakmai részvétele érdemben járul hozzá a lovaglástechnika rekonstrukciója és a régészeti elemzés közötti módszertani párbeszéd elmélyítéséhez.

The conference hosts presentations by archaeologists in the Hungarian National Museum and the Pázmány Péter Catholic University on the latest results of research on horse equipment and equestrian culture in the Carpathian Basin between the 6th and 10th centuries, with particular emphasis on the functional and technological interpretation of horse harnesses.
