Archaeology is a fun and interesting way to engage students and the public in history. It is a field based in science, culture, and history through the study of objects. This two-and-a-half-day workshop introduces you to archaeology: what it is, how it’s done, who does it, why we do it, and how you can incorporate it into your educational programming. Professional archaeologists will demonstrate how you can apply archaeological concepts in a classroom or museum setting to teach a wide range of subjects using a hands-on approach to the study of objects.
Pre-registration is required as participant numbers are limited.
Day 1 & 2 | 9am - 4pm: Classroom instruction
