The Goonies dive headlong into booby traps, hidden caves, and a family of criminals hot on their trail. The gang includes the inventive and steadfast Mikey (Sean Astin), the ever-resourceful Data (Ke Huy Quan), the talkative Mouth (Corey Feldman), and the brave leader Brand (Josh Brolin). Together, they discover the value of friendship and bravery.
Spielberg's influence is evident through the storytelling and thrilling sequences, while the film's fun cameos include Cyndi Lauper, who performs the theme song "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough."
