About this Event
Photography is a great way to take notice, connect and feel better. Whether you’re a budding photographer or have never created a photo before, join us for a walk at Viaduct Park to experience the wellbeing benefits of photography and connecting with nature.
Each month, local artist Rae Story will guide us through the park, focusing on prompts as we walk, talk and capture our natural surroundings in the heart of Stockport. She will be on hand to help get the images you want to take or discuss ideas and techniques. Meet at Arc at Hat Works at 10:30. The walk lasts about an hour before returning to Arc's cafe where we'll share images and discuss our experiences. The maximum size of the group will be 20 people.
Hat Works Cafe is open from 10:00 until 16:00 on Thursdays (and Fridays, 11:00-15:00 on Saturdays), if you'd like a coffee beforehand or a toastie / soup afterwards.
Our classes are inclusive and supportive, providing space to grow and learn together. Whether you're an experienced artist or taking your first steps, we welcome all abilities.
As we are a charity, there is a small charge of £5 for this event. If you are unable to pay using this online platform, please pay on the day at Arc. If you want to attend and are unable to pay, please contact [email protected] and we will be happy to arrange a free ticket for you.
