A terrific blues double-header featuring two great new bands from the Manchester area.Kicking off proceedings from 3-4 pm we have THE DIRTY TRUTH, a new incarnation of a familiar name but with a totally refreshed line-up featuring a superb young vocalist and frontman, together with a great new guitar player plus harp wizard Shak Anwar!
After a short break we welcome OVATE (Ov8) to the stage for two blistering sets of straight down the middle Chicago blues. This band has only been together for a couple of months but is already getting tongues wagging on the North-West blues scene. Frontman DJ Kane and guitar legend Chris Roach are backed up by the world class rhythm section of Rick Lacey on drums and Dave Luvin on double bass.
What better way to round off the weekend than a Sunday afternoon of great music and a few beers in convivial company at the legendary Spinning Top?
Don't forget, it's next door to both the railway station and the new bus interchange so you don't even have to drive. It will all be over by 7.30 so you won't miss the last bus or train!
