The annual Arbor Day Tree Dedication is Saturday, April 25, at 10A near the silo in front of the Montgomery Police Department (10 Civic Center Ave.), the site of Montgomery's Arboretum Garden Park. Following the short presentation and planting of the 2026 tree, an American Elm, by members of the Beautification Committee, the Village of Montgomery Municipal Arborist Ed Pfaff will be onsite to answer questions about enhancing the beauty of your yards through tree plantings and native landscape. Additionally, attendees can enter to win one of 50 saplings sponsored by the Village of Montgomery. Winners can take their saplings home that day, along with instructions for growing, transplanting, and maintaining the tree on their property.
This event makes a great activity for local Girl Scout & Boy Scout Troops looking to honor Earth Day (4/22) or Arbor Day (4/24). All ages are welcome.
Those with questions about the event are encouraged to contact Ed Pfaff directly at [email protected].
