Celebrate Arbor Day with Suwanee this year by putting roots down in the new park with us! We are hosting our annual Arbor Day event on February 22nd from 9 to 11AM at Town Center on Main & DeLay Nature Park. Volunteers will come together to plant trees and shrubs at the new park to celebrate Arbor Day. Whether you are an avid gardener or new to planting altogether, we welcome you to join us for a morning with the community! The City of Suwanee will provide all tools and materials needed for a successful day of volunteer work. The planting completed will help contribute to the overall atmosphere and aesthetics of the park as well as help to reduce any possible erosion in hills and banks around the area.
This annual community project is essential to Suwanee's continued involvement in the Tree City USA program. We have been a Tree City since 1990.
Together, we can make this Arbor Day one to remember for our community! For questions about the project or volunteer opportunities, please contact City Environmental Service Manager Bill Stinehart at [email protected] or call (770)-904-3381.
