Arabiske filmdager, som arrangeres på Vika kino 19.–22. mars, inviterer til Arabisk aften på Vippa fredag 6. mars. Kvelden byr på et tradisjonsrikt program med et kortfilmprogram på ca. 60 minutter, etterfulgt av en storslått konsert med Atlas Band.
Gratis inngang til film og konsert! Kun drop-in, ingen bordreservasjon. Møt opp i god tid for å sikre deg en god plass.
Vi oppfordrer alle til å ta kollektivtransport til våre arrangementer. Nærmeste stoppested er Vippetangen, hvor 60-bussen stopper. Vippa er ca. 15 minutter gange fra Jernbanetorget.
Program for kvelden
12:00 – Matbodene Aleppo Bahebek, Marrakech og de andre på Vippa åpner og selger mat og drikke gjennom hele dagen.
19:00 – Visning av tre kortfilmer (totalt 59 min): Ghassra / Stranded (Tunisia, 25 min); A Beautiful Excuse For A Deadly Sin (Bahrain, 16 min); The Parrot (Jordan, 18 min)
ca. 20:00–22:00 – Konsert med Atlas Band
Matbodene stenger kl. 21:00, baren stenger kl. 22:30.
Vi gleder oss til å fylle Vippa med film, musikk og dans! Etter kortfilmene spilles det opp til fest med Atlas Band med gjester. Vi kan garantere høy temperatur og god stemning blant bandets trofaste, danseglade publikum!

Når et presserende kroppslig behov tvinger en taxisjåfør til å stoppe ved et tre, fører et enkelt stopp til en serie uventede hendelser.
A Beautiful Excuse For a Deadly Sin (Hashim Sharaf | Bahrain | 16 min)
En ung mann ønsker å bo sammen med hesten sin, og forsøker å få den inn i huset via en smal trapp – til stor misnøye for naboene.
The Parrot (Amjad Al Rasheed & Darin J. Sallam | Jordan | 18 min)
En mizrahisk-jødisk familie fra Tunisia prøver å finne seg til rette i sitt nye hjem i Haifa, Palestina i 1948, men blir hjemsøkt av en forstyrrende husgjest – en stor blå papegøye som tilhørte de tidligere arabiske beboerne.

Experience the best of Arabic film, music and food at Vippa!
Arab Film Days, taking place at Vika Kino from March 19 to 22, invites you to the Arabic Evening at Vippa, Friday, March 6. The evening features a long-standing tradition, with a short film program of approximately 60 minutes, followed by a grand concert by Atlas Band.
Free entrance to the film and the concert! By drop-in only, no table reservations. Meet up early to secure a good spot.
Program
12:00 – Food stalls Aleppo Bahebek, Marrakech and others open at Vippa and sells food throughout the day.
19:00 – Screening of three short films (runtime 59 min): Ghassra / Stranded (Tunisia, 25 min); A Beautiful Excuse For A Deadly Sin (Bahrain, 16 min); The Parrot (Jordan, 18 min)
Approx. 20:00–22:00 – Concert with Atlas Band
Food stalls close at 21:00, the bar closes at 22:30.
We look forward to filling Vippa with film, music and dance! After the short films, Atlas Band takes the stage with special guests to kick off the party. We can guarantee high energy and great vibes among the band’s loyal, dance-loving audience!

A Beautiful Excuse For a Deadly Sin (Hashim Sharaf | Bahrain | 16 min)
A young man wants to live together with his horse and tries to bring it into the house via a narrow staircase – much to the neighbours’ dismay.
The Parrot (Amjad Al Rasheed & Darin J. Sallam | Jordan | 18 min)
A Mizrahi Jewish family from Tunisia tries to settle into their new home in Haifa, Palestine, in 1948, but is haunted by a disturbing houseguest – a large blue parrot left behind by the former Arab residents.
