Join us on World Arabic Language Day for a special reading of contemporary Arabic poetry with English translations.About this Event
This event will take place on Level 3 of City Library in Poet's Corner.
The readings highlight themes of identity, childhood, belonging and love and offers an opportunity to connect with Arabic language and culture, for speakers and non-speakers alike. There will also be a chance to contribute to an open mic reading.
Tickets are free but please book if you intend to come along.
There will be time after the readings to enjoy some conversation and Arabic refreshments.
This event has been organised by the North East Arabic Teachers’ Council (ATC).
