Join us after hours for outdoor stargazing (weather permitting), immersive Planetarium and Laser shows, and hands-on science experiences for curious minds of all ages. From 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, the Christopher Newport University Gravitational Wave Physics Group will host interactive science activities in the Planetarium lobby. Guests can explore the fascinating world of gravitational waves and learn how scientists study cosmic events happening light-years away.
Stargazing Experience
As darkness falls, our astronomy team will guide guests through Virginia’s night sky. Look for planets, star clusters, and seasonal constellations from our observation areas.
Telescope Locations:
Abbitt Observatory or Conservation Garden (location determined by weather conditions)
Stargazing is free and open to all event attendees.
Entry Information
Guest check-in will take place at the Main Entrance.
