Create art from leaves and lightboxes these April School Holidays with artist Dr Gabby O’Connor.To accompany her exhibition Rau Whārangi at Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui, local artist Dr Gabby O’Connor invites tamariki and whānau to take part in a hands-on, drop-in art and ecology experience during the April school holidays.
Tamariki can create leaves from recycled items, and use lightboxes to explore the art of shadows.
Digital images of the artworks created during the session may be included in the Rau Whārangi exhibition video, which plays alongside Gabby O’Connor’s installation at Te Matapihi.
Suitable for all ages, tamariki and whānau. Free, donations appreciated.
