Our monthly Pagan Moot is a friendly and informal gathering where all paths are welcome. Whether you are new to Pagan ideas, quietly curious, or have been walking your path for many years, you will find a warm and open circle of conversation here.
We meet to share stories, ideas and perspectives in a relaxed setting — no hierarchy or dogma, simply a shared curiosity about the rhythms of nature, myth, and spirit.

The pub has a car park and great food, so feel free to arrive early for a meal and conversation before we begin.
🌕 The Moon
This gathering falls under the light of a Full Moon, reaching its peak in the early hours of the same day. The Full Moon is traditionally associated with illumination, revelation and heightened awareness, a moment in the lunar cycle when what has been growing quietly becomes visible and understood.
Full Moon energy invites reflection on questions such as:
What forces shape our lives?
Where do choice and destiny meet?
What patterns are becoming visible in our own journeys?
Its bright light makes it an ideal lunar moment to explore the mysteries of FATE.
🌱 The Turning of the Wheel
Seasonally we are moving through the fertile part of the Wheel of the Year between Ostara (the Spring Equinox) and Beltane.
Ostara marks the point where day and night stand in balance and the light continues to grow stronger, symbolising renewal, new beginnings, and life emerging from winter’s stillness.
As we move toward Beltane, the energy of the land becomes more vibrant and expressive. Seeds begin to take hold, ideas begin to grow, and the living world moves toward the passionate vitality of early summer.
This seasonal transition raises an interesting question for our theme:
Are our lives shaped like seeds — carrying a destiny within them — or do we shape our own path as we grow?
🔮 Main Topic: FATE
Across myth and magical traditions, Fate has been imagined in many forms.
The Norns weaving destiny beneath the world tree.
The Greek Moirai spinning and cutting the thread of life.
The quiet feeling that certain moments in life seem somehow meant to be.
During the evening we will explore questions such as:
Do you believe fate exists, or is life shaped by choice?
Are some encounters or events destined?
How do Pagan traditions view destiny, prophecy and omens?
Can ritual, magic or intention influence what is “fated”?
Are we travellers on a fixed path, or co-creators of our future?
As always, the discussion will be organic and flowing, shaped by the thoughts, experiences and insights of those present.
