APRIL LINE-UP:
Whether you attend Moonah Music to dance or sit back and enjoy the tunes, expect an unforgettable experience celebrating the heart of folk music.
The TASMANIAN HERITAGE FIDDLE ENSEMBLE is a well-established musical community in Nipaluna/Hobart, responsible for bringing local fiddle musicians together to share their love of playing.
The Ensemble gathers 20-30 members each week to celebrate folk music on violins, cellos, violas, guitars, mandolins and bass.
Led by violinist Emily Wolfe, the Ensemble will perform a combination of traditional and contemporary Tasmanian folk music, alongside a catalogue of various global genres.
They regularly perform at bush dances, festivals and for their own enjoyment.
WOLFEFOLK brings together six of the finest local musicians in Lutruwita/Tasmania, blending improvisation with infectious rhythm.
Featuring Emily Wolfe, Isaac Gee, Randal Muir, Jack Lester, Mark Bandick and Rhiannon Salter, be swept off your feet by an eclectic mix of swing, jazz and blues.
