Come join us as we learn about a wonderful non-profit, "Paws of War", whose mission in Eastern NC is to create unbreakable bonds by bringing together rescued dogs with disabled Veterans and First Responders, to save and change their lives. Jackie is inspired by her maternal grandfather, a WWII Army Air Corps Private Jack, killed on the Pacific Front in April 1945, and her Air Force veteran husband Bill. She is committed to honoring their service.
As a member of the Havelock VFW Post 7315 Axillary, she chairs the Veterans and Family Support Committee and the History and Media Relations Committee and is a member of the NC DAV Auxiliary Post 40 and the NC American Legion Auxiliary Post 46.
Her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Penn State and background as an IT Cybersecurity Director gives her the organizational skills and technical knowledge to stand up and operate a program like Paws of War here.
Jackie and Bill have rescued many cats and dogs over the last 30 years; each one has touched their hearts.
