April Meeting - Brunel's Billiard Table (Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads) presented by Mike Pym

The Meon Valley Locomotive Society (MVLS) was set up in 1971 by a group of local railway enthusiasts interested in standard gauge railways. Following the closure of the Meon Valley line, their intention was to save Wickham Station for possible use as a meeting venue and preserving a locomotive and keeping it at the site. Unfortunately British Rail demolished the station before plans could be realised. The MVLS, however, developed into and continues to flourish as a General Interest railway society.
