6p-8p: Guests are invited to enjoy our current exhibition featuring brand new artworks by JuxtaHub Resident Artists. Visit with our Resident Artists on the 2nd floor. As always, refreshments will be served. Special thanks to Yergey Brewing for providing some of our beverages!
JuxtaHub’s EGGcellent Egg Hunt: Join us on the 1st floor for the most Eggcellent egg hunt for all ages. There will be twenty (20) 3D printed eggs hidden throughout the first floor of JuxtaHub. Each egg will have a treasure inside! Due to limited quantities, we kindly ask that guests take one (1) egg per person. Please share the excitement with everyone. Eggs are perfect for ALL ages. Ceramics Studio: Pottery Throw Down with your host Molly Olszewski, JuxtaHub’s Programming Assistant,. This is a friendly competition between Resident Artist Rhiannon Davis, Instructor Lisa Caruso, and local potters Ryan Olszewski (Olszewski Pottery) and Kevin Blonski (The Earthen Goat). Challenge 1: The Blindfold Challenge – Let’s see how many “identical” forms each artist can throw in 15 minutes. Challenge 2: Who can make the widest rimmed bowl without it collapsing in 10 minutes. As an attendee, you will be the judge! 6p-8p.
Convergent Maker Space (CMS): Join us in the CMS to kick off our first Fix-It Night. Fix-It Night is a free, hands-on repair event where community members bring in broken household items and work with volunteer experts to learn how to fix them. Please understand that while we try our best, JuxtaHub cannot guarantee a repair for every item or participant. 6p-8p.
Classroom: Add a drawing or design to the community canvas we have in the main classroom. We will provide the paint markers. The completed work will proudly be displayed in the classroom for all to see and enjoy!
