GMAIN provides the opportunity for businesses based in or with a connection to the region to work together and support each other in tackling modern slavery.
Agenda
Full agenda to be confirmed. There will be opportunities to listen to case studies from local businesses of different sizes, network with fellow Greater Manchester based businesses and NGOs and take part in interactive discussions and group work:
- Welcome address
- Policy and intelligence updates
- Good practice sharing on stakeholder engagement
- Group activities and discussions

To access the lifts/stairs when entering the building from Oxford Road, walk straight ahead past the cafeteria and bathrooms.
Please note that there is no on-site parking, but the venue is an 17-minute bus journey (147 bus) from Manchester Piccadilly Station or 21-minute bus (41 bus) from Victoria Station.
How do I attend?
It is free to become a member of the network and to register to attend network meetings. Please feel free to share the opportunity to attend the network meeting with your business partners and contacts.
As this is a FREE event, we please ask that no more than 2 colleagues register per organisation. If you wish to invite additional colleagues please contact us and we will inform you if a place becomes available. If you secure a place and can no longer attend, please inform us so we can make space available for other delegates.
Please note your details will be shared with the event host for the purposes of security and catering for dietary requirements.
More about the Network:
Purpose: The purpose of the GMAIN is to provide support to businesses based in or with a connection to the Greater Manchester region to work together and with wider stakeholders, in tackling modern slavery in their operations and supply chains.
Objectives:
- Facilitate the sharing of examples between local businesses of good practices being deployed to help drive wider adoption of good practices.
- Provide a safe space for businesses to share challenges faced when tackling modern and learn from lived experience to identify practical, survivor-centred solutions.
- Support businesses to prepare for upcoming policy and legislative changes
- Support growth of responsible businesses within the GM economy
- Improve identification, reporting and remediation of forced labour in the Greater Manchester region and beyond
