Our M**der Mystery Parties have become a wildly popular alternative to the typical bar scene. Whether you come solo or with friends, this is a fun, organized, and interactive way to meet great people while enjoying a unique night out.
In honor of April Fools Day, we present April Fools Day M**der Mystery—a thrilling mystery where everyone is a suspect! No acting experience or detective skills required—just bring your love of fun and a willingness to jump in.

How It Works
- 7 PM sharp: Check-in and registration start at 6:45pm. Register in advance on Eventbrite to secure your spot! Walk-ins the night off are welcome but are placed on a waitlist with admission subject to avalibility.
- Our friendly San Diego Social Network staff will explain how everything works and introduce you to fellow guests.
- Once the mystery begins, you’ll receive a character assignment with background information. It will tell you who you are, how you need to act, who you need to talk to, and how you fit into the story.
- You’ll interact with dozens of participants—sharing clues, uncovering secrets, and chasing leads.
- Throughout the evening, new evidence will be revealed to move the story forward.

The Story:
Preston Hartwell, CEO of elite matchmaking empire Perfect Pair™, has built a billion-dollar business matching soulmates using an algorithm he claims is “99.9% spiritually accurate.”
Reality? It’s mostly astrology, vibes, and guessing. Tonight, Preston is hosting an extravagant “Love Gala” at his penthouse on April 1st to announce: “The biggest twist in Perfect Pair™ history!” Secretly, he plans to FAKE HIS OWN M**der as an April Fool’s joke to see: Who cries, Who celebrates, Who checks the will.
Something goes seriously wrong and it is up to you to help solve the mystery!

About the Event
This M**der Mystery is hosted by The San Diego Social Network. We are not a professional theater company—we’re a social organization that creates fun, engaging events for people looking to meet others, try something new, and enjoy a great night out.
This is not a seated dinner event. It’s a cocktail-party-style experience held at a local lounge. Some guests dress up and fully embrace the theme; others come casually to socialize—it’s completely up to you. The most important thing is to have fun!
Parking & Transportation: Plenty of free parking at the Mission Valley Mall. Venue is just a 7 min walk away from Mission Valley Trolley Station.
Prizes: Awards given at the end of the event for identifying the correct killer, most (play) money swindled, voted best dressed, and voted best actor.
