Join us for a trip to Merritt Island NWR! Mostly a driving tour, this is a perfect bird trip for anyone with mobility issues.
Meet for carpooling at 715AM at the Edgewater Dunkin' parking lot, 1812 S Ridgeway Ave, Edgewater. Chip Franke will lead. Please bring water, optics, bug spray, sun screen, snacks, lunch.
Black Point Drive is a spectacular trip with some easy trail walking. Merritt Island is always great for waders, shore birds, songbirds, raptors, and gators. Right now it's also an exceptional habitat for wader babies and breeding birds.
We'll y stop at Visitor Center for picnic lunch.
