About this Event
April is Alcohol Awareness Month, a national observance focused on increasing understanding of alcohol use, supporting prevention, and encouraging open conversations about treatment and recovery.
The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence – Greater Detroit Area (NCADD) invites the community to join us throughout the month of April as we raise awareness and promote healthier communities.
As part of this month-long effort, NCADD will host a series of events designed to bring people together for education, conversation, and connection.
Community Launch Event
Kick off Alcohol Awareness Month with us at Terry’s Casablanca Dry Bar for an evening of fellowship and community engagement. Guests will enjoy mocktails, small bites, entertainment, and meaningful conversations in a welcoming alcohol-free space.
Parent & Youth Conversations
Families are also invited to attend a special Parent & Youth Conversations event at the NCADD Prevention Office. Parents and youth will participate in guided discussions that encourage open dialogue, strengthen communication, and provide practical tools for navigating conversations about alcohol and peer pressure.
Together, these events aim to raise awareness, support prevention, and connect community members with resources for treatment and recovery.
Join us this April as we come together to build stronger, healthier communities.
