Using either your mirrorless or DSLR camera (tripod recommended), or camera phone, we will visit pre-scouted destinations and discuss how to capture your viewers' attention with impactful compositions, visual design and subject matter; then compose, photograph, repeat, in several locations. For those settings where you want people to feel how you felt in the moment, I recommend 14-35 mm focal length lenses. These wider lenses offer context of the landscape well. However, to best capture the moonrise you will want a telephoto lens. Many camera phones zoom in well for just such a moment. Our primary subject matter will be Joshua trees, monzogranite rock boulders and outcrops, a variety of cactus, moonrise and sunset.
