We are hosting regular volunteer days every first Saturday of the month in the spring and fall. Come join us and give back to the land by volunteering at Heritage Acres this year. While these work days consist of mostly manual labor, our projects can be adapted to any physical ability level, and all ages are welcome to participate.For this particular work day, we will be planting multiple species of trees and shrubs throughout the property. We are actively working to increase our canopy cover and biodiversity, thereby improving wildlife habitat and the natural beauty of the space. This is a great opportunity to decrease your carbon footprint and support reforestation efforts at the sanctuary.
Please dress appropriately for the weather, as we are working outside for the entire duration of the event. In addition, bring your own drinking water and food to stay energized and healthy. There will be a group lunch break around noon. You do not have to be here for the whole duration, and can come and go as you wish. We hope that you can join us for this or another volunteer day soon.
