BIO: Sharon Haeg, PE, CEM, LEED AP BD+C, is an HVAC Systems Business Development Manager with Daikin Applied, bringing over 17 years of experience in the industry. Since joining Daikin in November 2024, she has focused on energy efficiency, infrastructure renewal, HVAC systems, and building automation and controls. Her current work emphasizes refrigerants, decarbonization, and advancing high-performance, energy-efficient solutions in the built environment.
DESCRIPTION: Join Sharon for a practical discussion on the challenges design teams face when adapting to evolving regulations, standards, and codes surrounding A2L refrigerants. Drawing on her extensive experience across a building’s lifecycle - collaborating with engineers, contractors, facility managers, and owners - Sharon provides valuable context on the industry’s shift to A2Ls and highlights the benefits of R-32.
