About this Event
Pikes Peak Trail CATS is working with the City of Manitou Springs on the Intemann Trail west of the Crystal Park Road Intemann Trailhead.
One crew will be building a rubble wall to protect and expand the tread on a sharp turn. A second crew will be building three or four bike friendly wooden steps. A third crew will be creating swells and water diversion features on and above the trail.
We are meeting at the Crystal Park Road trailhead. Please car pool if you know others working on this project (come with a friend). It is a short walk in.
This is a great project for learning about hiking/biking trail sustainability, maintance, and design. It is light to moderate work with picks, shovels, McLeods, and rock slings. Students must be accompanied by a parent.
Bring with you water, lunch, sunscreen, goves, hiking shoes, clothing for weather, and readiness to enjoy the day.
