NEW IN 2026! SAVE THE DATE:
The Medina County Historical Society will have an open house on Sunday, April12th. New this year we have both museums open at the same time & day.
We will be open on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 1pm – 4pm. Many visitors have asked us about having both museums open, so we will try this plan. You can visit both the John Smart House, 206 N. Elmwood, Medina, and the McDowell-Phillips House Museum, 205 S. Prospect St., Medina the same day if you like!
We have a new exhibit at the John Smart House, The History of Medicine in Medina County. It will feature medical items, historic timeline, and video interviews from across Medina County.
John Smart House Museum - suggested donation is $5.
McDowell-Phillips House Museum - $10 Adults, Seniors $9, Youth age 7 - 17 $7, and under 7 free! Tours at the McDowell-Phillips House will start every 20 minutes. First tour is at 1pm. Blake Ave. is being rebuilt but the museum will be open.
