Presented by the Andrew Sims Centre’s established Mental Health Law multi-professional training team. In recent years there have been significant changes to mental health law and in addition, case law continues to refine the law and thus our practice. These changes, along with the complex interface between the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, have made it increasingly difficult for practitioners to be confident of their authority for treatment. This one-day refresher course is accredited by the North of England Approvals Panel as a refresher course for Approved Clinicians and is valid for those attending from other parts of England.
