Appiah & Asanti Beats is a Melbourne-based band led by renowned dancer and musician Appiah Annan, the band takes you on a musical journey of funk, jazz and percussion, inspired by ancient rituals and ancestral values. Weaving traditional and contemporary music, blending melodic sounds of the kora with the raw, rhythmic beat of the drums, the band uses the music to translate stories of everyday life, love, wisdom and peace, reminding us of the importance of connection and celebrating who we are as a rich and diverse Australian community.Afro Moses, also known as Moses O'Jah, is a Ghanaian-Australian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is recognised as one of Ghana's most internationally renowned artists, often referred to as the African James Brown due to his energetic and sometimes eccentric performances. Afro Moses grew up in the Ghanaian hamlet of Ateiku and began teaching local youngsters to make their own instruments and perform at an early age. He holds high regard for African culture, which is evident in all his music and performances. Afro Moses is a member of the Moses Ojah Band and has performed with various renowned artists, including Ziggy Marley, Angelique Kidjo, Salif Keita, Michael Franti, Xavier Rudd, and Richard Tognetti. His music often features 14 traditional African instruments, inspiring and soothing the mind, body, and soul, and making people want to dance. Afro Moses's music and performances are known for their powerful messages and the message of UNITY.
