Mandy Pearson, a native of Trussville, Alabama, has always been deeply connected to the natural world. Beginning her journey at the Birmingham Zoo at age 13, Mandy later earned a B.S. in Ecology and Forensics and an M.S. in Biology from Jacksonville State University. Her extensive experience includes teaching environmental education, managing animal programs, and developing trails and educational events at Cheaha State Park. Currently the Programs Director at Camp Lee, Mandy is dedicated to using environmental education to help visitors reconnect with nature’s beauty, harmony, and tranquility.
