DAVID MATTERS
David Matters is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based out of Asheville, North Carolina. He is also the frontman of the band, Life Like Water. His music has been described as earthy, hypnotic, uplifting, and even mystical. His style is often described as folk/world fusion and has been compared to artists such as Xavier Rudd, Shakey Graves, Iron and Wine and Brown Bird.
It has also been called a blending of worlds, ‘Something like Xavier Rudd meets Radiohead with a banjo and ngoni!’
With a focus on trance-inducing rhythms, heartfelt lyrics and melodies that contain flavors of Africa and the Middle East, the music of David Matters is a feast for the ears.
