"When you put the right team in the right place, anything can happen"
Little did we know that in 25 years, APACC would grow from a small organization that only served monolingual Asian immigrants in the community (and was at one pointed located in a closet space!) to an organization that serves all low-income and immigrant residents in Visitacion Valley and beyond. And since the COVID-19 pandemic, our services has evolved to include the Spanish-speaking community. We have always followed the needs of the community. That's why we have added onto our original social services program to include environmental education, safety initiatives, and youth programming! Our youth program alone grew from being funded by a combination of personal donations and staff dedication to a budget that exceeds half a million dollars in less than five years of its inception!
This year, we celebrate 25 years of this dedicated service. We invite you to join us at Harborview Bar & Restaurant on Thursday, August 29, 2024 between 5 PM - 8:30 PM for a sit down dinner and some entertainment from celebrity Chef Martin Yan, who will be performing some cutting demonstrations! Who knows, there may be some other special guests joining in the fun!
