Special Tributes
A dedicated display honours Pearl and Ruby Hyde of Anna Bay. These sisters served in the Womenโs Land Army during WWII. You can see their uniforms, photos, and letters alongside a photo of their father, Joseph Hyde, a World War I veteran.
The exhibition also features stories from local heroes, including:
โข Flight Lieutenant Donald Howard: A Catalina flying boat pilot and long-time local resident.
โข Lieutenant Mathieson: An army transport driver who served in the Middle East and Pacific.
