Antenatal classes | Course with an Experienced Midwife

Join us at The Midwives Circle and Wellness Centre for our in-person hypnobirthing course designed to help you feel calmer, more informed, and more prepared for birth.

This course isn’t about achieving a “perfect” birth.

It’s about understanding your body, knowing your options, and feeling more in control during labour and birth, whatever path it takes.

So many people enter labour feeling overwhelmed by information but still unsure what to expect in the moment. When we feel fearful, unsupported, or triggered into fight or flight, it can impact both our emotional and physical experience of labour.

This course helps you understand why.

Delivered by an experienced midwife, this course combines practical birth education with hypnobirthing techniques to help you feel confident, supported, and prepared going into birth.

Throughout the course, we explore:
• What hypnobirthing actually is (and what it isn’t)
• How hormones influence labour and birth
• Breathing and relaxation techniques
• Understanding your options and making informed decisions
• Birth partner support and advocacy
• How to create a calm and supportive birth environment
• Preparing for all birth pathways, including induction and caesarean birth

Birth partners are encouraged to attend and will leave understanding how to support you practically and emotionally throughout labour and birth.

Alongside the course, you’ll also receive additional resources to help you feel informed, empowered, and confident in advocating for yourself during pregnancy, labour, and birth.

Sessions are supportive, non-judgemental, and designed to give you space to ask questions, connect with other parents-to-be, and prepare emotionally as well as practically for birth.

This course takes place over two sessions. When booking, you are booking onto the first session, with the second session taking place the following week.
