In these trying times, when LGBT rights are under full assault across the country, it is important to remember that pride is so much more than a parade or a fashion statement. Pride is an act of defiance and resistance. The history of pride and our movement is one of struggle, organizing, and staying true to ourselves while standing up for each other, no matter what anyone thinks. That is why this year's Pride walk celebrates the history of resistance and calls on the community to action as we head into the consequential 2026 midterm elections.
