In May 2026, thousands marched from the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma to Montgomery in defense of voting rights. Inspired by this call to action, Sankofa Impact invites you Answering the Call, an immersive Pilgrimage in Place expereince.
This Juneteenth week, join us for an evening of storytelling, community, and place-based learning as we travel through through Southern sites at the heart of the Black American freedom struggle. From the era of enslavement in Monticello to today's voting rights battles in Shelby County, we'll trace the long arc of history together and ask what this moment is calling us to do.
