Honeybees have been kept for thousands of years and the products of the hive are familiar to us all. David Morland, from Fife Beekeepers Association, will take you through the lifecycle of the bee, how they reproduce and why they swarm, how they are impacted by disease, pests and the environment.
You will hear how Fife Beekeepers set up an apiary on the Balcaskie Estate, benefitting from its organic farming methods, training new beekeepers and inviting the community to experience the craft at first hand.
