The Consulate General of Ukraine in Houston, together with HTX4Ukraine and Ukrainian National Women’s League in Houston, invites you to join us in honoring the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for Ukraine.
The run, "I Honor Warriors, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine," is an annual patriotic tradition dedicated to honoring the memory of soldiers who died during the russian-Ukrainian war. It is timed for August 29th, the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
We will run 2 miles; however, each participant can choose to run a distance of their choice with the name of a familiar or unfamiliar person who gave their life in the struggle for the territorial integrity of Ukraine between 2014 and 2024, fixed on their T-shirt.
❗️If you’re not able to run, no worries — we’ll have a separate group just for walking.❗️
Participants are encouraged to share the biography of the Hero with tags #БіжузаГероя_2024
(#RunningForAHero_2024) and #забіг2024 (#run2024) on social platforms.
❗️WE WILL PRINT OUT THE NAMES OF FALLEN HEROES FROM THE REGISTRATION FORM FOR YOU.
Upon arrival at the meeting point, you will be able to tape it onto your clothes.
