? We live in a childcare desert and families are feeling it. Parents are juggling impossible choices and waitlists that stretch for months.There’s a heap of work to do to create the childcare our community deserves and to reaffirm the central role of early childhood learning in our community. At Bub Hub Blue Mountains, we’re co-designing the childcare services we want for our families – flexible, family-centred, and community-led.
For the past three years, Bub Hub has offered co-working with onsite childcare, proving that trusted, high-quality care can grow from grassroots and outside-the-box alternatives. Now we’re entering our next phase: growing, advocating, and building the foundations for more sustainable forms of alternative childcare.
We need people with skills, vision, knowledge, experience, and motivation to help build something new and long-lasting in the childcare space. Whether you’re a parent, educator, organiser, or simply care about childcare, we’d love you to be part of this journey.
