Presentation topic: As artificial intelligence becomes deeply embedded in enterprise systems, the urgency to move beyond aspirational principles toward operationalized AI governance has never been greater. This talk explores how organizations can bridge the gap between policy and practice to build scalable, resilient governance frameworks that uphold cybersecurity and privacy standards in real-world deployments. Drawing on case studies and lessons learned from cross-functional implementations, we’ll examine how to align technical safeguards with regulatory expectations, embed responsible AI into risk management processes across the technology lifecycle, and navigate the tension between innovation and risk. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies for maturing existing processes to account for AI risks, fostering accountability across teams, and future-proofing their organizations against emerging threats.

Speaker Bio: Grace Llojaj is a Security, Risk, & Compliance Consultant at SEI, where she advises organizations on cybersecurity, risk management, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives with a particular focus on AI governance. She works closely with clients to identify critical gaps within their security and risk management functions and to design and implement pragmatic, scalable solutions to address complex business challenges. Grace’s path to this work began in the aerospace and defense industry, where she served as a Continuous Improvement Project Manager, embedding across functions such as finance, IT, and operations to drive efficiencies and cost savings. Through this experience, she deepened her focus on GRC and third-party risk, which became the foundation of her career in cybersecurity. Since then, she has worked across startups and Fortune 500 organizations, supporting efforts ranging from M&A and international expansion to incident response to the maturation of enterprise security, risk, and AI governance programs in highly regulated environments. Outside of work, Grace volunteers and serves on nonprofit boards dedicated to advancing women’s empowerment, particularly in technical fields.
